1937, 1938, 1939, 1940 Studebaker President NOS Muffler
New NORS muffler for 1937 – 1940 Studebaker President manufactured by Universal Parts Inc of Chicago. This is a new old replacement stock muffler with some minor scuffs and dings (see pics) associated with decades of shelf storage. There are a few places that show minor surface rust where the paint was scuffed but these in no way compromise the integrity or performance of the muffler. It fits the 8-cylinder Studebaker President 3C, 4C, 5C, 6C. The original label is mostly intact and the item # S589 was stamped in the spiral body during the manufacturing process and is clearly visible. There is also handwritten script identifying the muffler (see pic) but does not appear to be in permanent marker. The muffler is a 6” round, straight thru design, with a 30” body and overall length of 33.5”. Both the inlet and outlet are 1 & ¾” diameter. The muffler will be carefully packed in the appropriate size box and shipped via FedEx/UPS. Please refer to the attached photos for a more complete representation.
